Under a U.S. Department of Agriculture contract, PGI performs O&M services for grid-tied photovoltaic systems at eight locations throughout Southern California. Scope of work includes ongoing monitoring and fault detection, rapid response during outages, annual preventive maintenance and panel washing.

PGI continuously performs fault detection and diagnostics on each of the sites to ensure optimal performance. This includes analysis of panel performance, inverter performance and overall performance of the entire site. Any issues identified are immediately reported to USDA staff and corrective actions are taken.

For this contract, PGI’s scope expanded to include the installation of irradiance sensors which would further enhance the team’s analytical capability and thereby ensure peak site performance at all times.
